This natural turquoise lagoon is one of the Mediterranean’s most photographed marine wonders, cradled in the narrow channel between the islands of Comino and Cominotto. Free of urban development, the Blue Lagoon reveals a luminous spectrum of colour, where sunlight refracts through shallow water onto pale sand and pale limestone, producing hues that shift from aquamarine to deep sapphire as depth changes underfoot.

Accessible only by boat, this uninhabited islet setting retains a wild, untouched character despite its fame, with dramatic limestone cliffs framing the aerial view of the shallows below. The absence of permanent structures and light pollution lends the lagoon an almost otherworldly serenity outside of peak daylight hours.
