A natural spot of rare and mystical beauty, Cala d’Hort is a pebbled cove on Ibiza’s rugged southwest coast, facing directly toward the towering limestone islet of Es Vedrà. Rising 382 metres sheer from the Mediterranean, this pyramidal rock has inspired centuries of legend, from Homeric sirens to modern tales of magnetic anomalies, and remains one of the island’s most photographed natural landmarks.

At sunset, the panorama transforms into pure theatre: the sun drops behind the islet’s jagged silhouette, casting the surrounding waters in shades of amber, rose and violet while Es Vedrà darkens into a near-black monolith against the glowing sky. Protected within the Cala d’Hort nature reserve, the setting remains largely untouched, framed by pine-covered cliffs and traditional beach chiringuitos.
