This natural sea cave is one of the Adriatic’s most extraordinary phenomena, a hidden grotto carved into the limestone cliffs of the tiny islet of Biševo, part of the remote Vis archipelago. Sunlight, entering through an underwater opening, refracts through the crystalline sea and floods the chamber with an otherworldly electric-blue glow, illuminating silver-tinted walls and the submerged rock below.

Reachable only by boat through a narrow rock entrance just large enough for small vessels, the cave rewards visitors with a fleeting, almost mystical spectacle best witnessed in the late morning light between May and September.
