This natural cove is one of Menorca’s most photographed beaches, a twin sister to the larger Cala Macarella tucked along the island’s protected southwestern coastline. Framed by pine-crowned white limestone cliffs, this golden crescent of sand meets water so impossibly clear it shifts through every shade of turquoise and Aegean blue as the light moves across the day.

Reachable only on foot along the ancient Camí de Cavalls coastal trail, by boat, or via a scenic hike from Cala Galdana, its relative inaccessibility has preserved an untouched, almost secret atmosphere despite its fame. Shallow, calm waters make it ideal for swimming, while the surrounding pine woods offer fragrant shade from the Mediterranean sun.

Part of an Àrea Natural d’Especial Interès, the cove sits within a landscape of rugged cliffs and wild scrubland that has changed little for centuries. Arrive early, before the midday crowds and cliffside sun worshippers claim the sand, to experience this pocket of untamed coastal beauty at its most serene.
