A natural wonder of sculpted stone and glacial water, the Marble Caves rise from the turquoise depths of General Carrera Lake near Puerto Río Tranquilo in Chilean Patagonia. Carved over six millennia by the relentless lapping of mineral-rich meltwater, these swirling caverns of blue-veined marble form a labyrinth of grottoes, columns, and chapels that shift in hue with the seasons — from deep cobalt in the drier months to pale turquoise when snowmelt swells the lake.
