A natural cove of extraordinary drama, Cala Goloritzé is one of the most celebrated beaches along Sardinia’s wild Gulf of Orosei, set within the Baunei coast’s UNESCO-listed limestone wilderness. A crescent of blinding white pebbles gives way to shallows of impossible turquoise, deepening swiftly into the sapphire abyss of the open gulf. Presiding over the bay is the Aguglia di Goloritzé, a solitary limestone spire soaring 143 meters sheer from the waterline, its Verdon-like walls a pilgrimage site for climbers worldwide.

Accessible only by a 3.5-kilometer descending trail through holm oak forest and ancient shepherd shelters, or by boat from Santa Maria Navarrese and Cala Gonone, the cove remains gloriously undeveloped. Terraced cliffs rise wild and untamed on every side, framing a panorama that feels suspended between sea and sky. Declared a National Monument in 1995, Goloritzé rewards the effort of reaching it with a raw, almost primordial beauty rarely found on Mediterranean shores — silence, stone, and impossibly clear water.
