This natural beach, cradled at the foot of a dramatic limestone pinnacle, is one of the most celebrated coves along the Gulf of Orosei on Sardinia’s wild eastern coast. Reachable only by a scenic hiking trail through the Supramonte massif or by boat across the open sea, Cala Goloritzé rewards effort with an almost otherworldly reveal: a crescent of pale pebbles meeting water so clear and turquoise it seems lit from within.

Towering above the cove, a slender karst tower rises nearly 150 metres, sculpted by centuries of wind and sea, its silhouette a favourite among climbers and photographers alike. Framed by pine-scented cliffs and the scent of Mediterranean maquis, the setting carries an air of ancient stillness, protected as a National Natural Monument since the 1990s.

Swimmers drift beneath the pinnacle’s shadow, while sunlight fractures across the shallows in shifting shades of aquamarine. Cala Goloritzé remains a rare intersection of geological grandeur and coastal serenity, largely untouched by modern development.
