A natural spring and karst pool hidden within a dense forest near Muzinë, roughly 22 kilometers from Sarandë in southern Albania. Known locally as Syri i Kaltër, the Blue Eye earns its name from a hypnotic circular pool where sapphire and turquoise waters swirl above an unfathomed abyss, its true depth still undetermined by divers.

Cold, mineral-rich water surges continuously from the earth, feeding the Bistricë River and casting an almost supernatural glow across the clearing. Sunlight filters through the surrounding canopy of plane and beech trees, illuminating the pool’s shifting hues from pale aquamarine at the edges to an intense indigo core.

The site carries deep cultural resonance for the region, long regarded by locals as a sacred, almost mythical place of purity. Wooden walkways and a small viewing platform allow visitors to admire the spring without disturbing its fragile ecosystem, while the surrounding forest offers a cool, fragrant respite from the Albanian Riviera’s coastal heat.
