A dramatic natural beach on the rugged Big Sur coastline, Pfeiffer Beach is famed for its rare purple-hued sand, tinted by manganese garnet deposits washing down from the surrounding hills. Its signature feature, the Keyhole Arch, is a massive offshore rock formation pierced by a natural opening.
